Ways To Catch A Cheating Spouse Online
In this day and age, cheating often begins online, either through social sites, dating sites, or chat rooms. Some start in real life, but are continued mostly online. Here are a few ways you can catch a cheating spouse online using hardware and software.
Keylogging hardware and software
Keyloggers, as the name implies, are hardware items or software programs that record and "logs" every keystroke on your computers. The newer more improved keyloggers even have the ability to take screenshots of the computer at set intervals. Besides keystroke logging, a keylogger also collects passwords inputted on websites (email/facebook), and stores all search queries on google/bing.
When selecting a keylogger for purchase you will need to know the following facts :
- If buying a HARDWARE based keylogger for desktop computers, you will need to check the back end of your desktop to know which port your keyboard attaches to. If it's a circular socket, it's a PS/2 port, if it's a rectangular socket, it's a USB port. This is really important because if the keylogger you bought doesn't fit, you can't attach your keyboard to it.
- If buying keyloggers for laptops, your only choice will be to buy a software based keylogger. It is possible to attach keyloggers on to laptops that are using external keyboards, but it defeats the purpose since it will be visible by who ever is using the laptop.
A free alternative to keyloggers
This generally works well, unless your spouse is tech savvy. What you will need is to download and install the firefox browser (free at mozilla.org), unless you already have it. This methods is free, and helps you track your spouse online. Great alternative if you have no spare cash, but it won't provide as much data (chatlogs/emails sent/received) as an actual keylogger.
First check if your firefox browser is currently storing browsing history by pressing CTRL + H. If it's disabled, you should see a blank tab to your left. If it's enabled, you should see "Today" "Yesterday" plus some dates where you can explore.
If it's disabled, you can enabled history logging by clicking on Tools, then Options, then selecting Privacy. Under the Privacy tab make sure to check, and fill in the "Remember my browsing history for at least ___ days". Also make sure to uncheck "Clear browsing history when Firefox closes". This should make your browser record all websites visited, including what they search for in Google/Bing, and any hidden email accounts or facebook profiles they have.
