The majority of men between the ages of 20-50, according to recent research, are either overweight or obese. Despite this worrying situation most of the weight loss tips available are more applicable to women. Weight loss advice for men is mainly on how to build more muscles or how to get fit and not on how to lose weight.

Not all men want to build muscles but there are regular guys that need advice on how to get rid of the extra pounds in a fast and healthy way. So, if you are in this category of people you can make good use of the tips below.

1. There is a maximum amount of weight you can lose in a week and this is no more than 2 pounds. Having this in mind you should take your efforts slowly and not rush into unhealthy situations.

2. Do not minimize your daily calorie consumption below 1500 calories per day. This is the absolute minimum for the average man. If your body type is above the average then you may need to increase this number to 2000 calories per day.

3. Losing weight is a simple mathematical equation. One pound is 3500 calories so to lose 1 pound you need to save 3500 calories. The saving is the difference between the number of calories you consume – number of calories you burn.

4. You need to be aware that losing calories may not change your appearance but losing fat will.

5. The only way to burn more calories is to exercise regularly and intensively and the only way to reduce your daily calorie intake is to follow a balanced diet.

6. How fast you will be able to lose weight depends on how quickly you will achieve the calorie deficit explained in point 3 above. This is different for each person and depends on the metabolism.

7. There are 2 ways to increase your metabolism. The first way is through regular exercise and the second is by eating small meals every 3-4 hours.

8. There are many forms of exercises that can help you lose weight. This includes cardio exercises and body building. Body building is not only for building muscles but can also help you fight fat and shed pounds.

9. Men can usually lose weight faster than women because of the differences in their body structure. This does not mean though that all men can lose weight the same way. There are cases where people eat the same things and exercise the same but have different weight loss results. This is because there are many factors that affect weight loss. For best results you should visit a nutritionist to build up a diet that suits your needs and a professional trainer that can help you create an exercise schedule suitable for your body type.

10. Unfortunately weight loss takes time. Pills and other products cannot give you long lasting results and it is recommended not to use them.

The 10 fast weight loss tips presented in this post is the framework of a quick and safe weight loss. Around this framework there are many other things you can do to lose weight. Before you start your efforts do your research and have always in your mind that in order to lose weight and keep it off you need to do it the healthy way. If you follow other paths the results will only be temporary.

Did you know that you can eat more but lose weight? Wait to learn more. You can not eat just anything, and your basic food for 1 week (as far as the diet lasts) will be cabbage soup.

How to prepare cabbage soup?

Choose some moderate onions, 2 green peppers, 1 medium cabbage or 2 small ones, 2 cans of tomatoes in tomato sauce, salt and pepper for taste, celery leaf, red pepper (if you like spicy foods) and parsley.
Put them all cleaned and cut into a pot with water that covers them. Boil 10 minutes at high fire and then for 2 hours at low heat. You can eat as much as you want. It is filling and is quite tasty.

How do you keep the cabbage soup diet?

Diet is recommended to you for 7 days, at the end of which, unless you cheat, you lose weight between 11 and 15 pounds.

On the first day, besides cabbage soup, you are allowed to eat as many fruits as you want and to drink a lot of plain water.

Next day combine cabbage soup with vegetables and water, but be sure to avoid vegetables such as beans, peas, potatoes and corn.

The third day you are allowed both fruits and vegetables. And much soup and water of course.

The fourth day, eat 3 bananas and soup. Do not forget about water.

The fifth day you can have 28 ounces of beef or chicken with soup, water.

On the sixth day you can eat boiled rice along with the soup you have already used.

On the seventh and final day in fact you can eat fish on a grill and a lot of soup.

Weight loss tips

If you feel you lost too much weight in the first days, discontinue the diet for 2 days and then continue.

It is not good to keep this diet more than a week. If you have more than 15 pounds to lose, you can take a break for a week and start all over again.

How did you survive the Christmas holidays? And what about Thanksgiving Day? Are your scale and you waistline also thankful? If there is one month of the year when we allow ourselves to indulge in food it’s December: most of us stay at home from work more, our routine is suspended and there are many more opportunities of having dinners with our family and friends, when it is very hard to say no. But the main reason is perhaps that December is the last month of the year and January will be the moment of new resolutions, and one of them will certainly be losing some weight. So why not live a little before? As a result, we can gain up to 6-8 pounds in just 20 days.

Now, fast forward to the end of February – how is that resolution going? Did you manage to lose weight quickly?  One of the reasons why January weight loss plans fail is that people cannot go back to the pre-December diet. Eating more than necessary, feeling hungry all the time can become a habit. This is where Buttercup flower extract can be a great help to lose weight quickly.
Buttercup is a type of Ranunculus, a plant which grows spontaneously on meadows and wet soils, painting the countryside in yellow. Although very beautiful, the green parts of Ranunculus are highly toxic. The essence extracted from the flower on the other hand, can be very useful in different situations, and weight loss is one of them.

A few drops of buttercup will calm down nervous hunger and help those subjects that end up eating more than they need because they conform to other people’s behavior.

This is how to prepare the buttercup curative:
-pour two drops of buttercup essence in a 30ml dropper
-add two teaspoons of brandy
-fill the rest with natural mineral water

The recommended daily dose is four drops, four times a day between meals, for three weeks.

Many people, after watching the Biggest Loser reality television show, tend to think that the weight loss results that they see on that show aren’t realistic for the average person.  Yes, the contestants on that show do work out a lot, but when it comes down to it, if you are focusing on making sure you are getting proper nutrition and not too much, and also making sure that you work out properly, then you’ll definitely be able to lose weight quickly.  I am going to tell you how to lose 30 pounds in a month, but it’ll take hard work and dedication from you to truly see results.

The first thing you need to work on is your nutrition.  You need to make sure that you are not eating a lot of calories per day.  Yes, you do still need to eat because your body needs energy for the workouts you’ll be doing, but you’ll need to reduce your calories from what you normally eat.  Focus on fruits and vegetables, as well as leaner meats, and that can help you.  Reducing your portions that you have each meal is also important.  Stay away from foods that are high in fat content, as well as foods that are high in sodium and sugars.

Lastly, you need to work out properly.  Just doing some exercise can help, but you won’t get fast weight loss results just doing any exercises.  You need to focus on strength training exercises such as using free weights, and resistance bands.  Your muscles get broken down and grow stronger when met with resistance, and the lean muscle mass that you develop helps your body and assists it in burning fat not only while you are doing your workouts, but also throughout the day.  That is how you turn your body into a fat burning machine, by building muscle.  Body-weight resistance exercises, such as pushups, situps and jumping jacks, are great for providing resistance without the use of free weights.

Combine these principles, and you’ll be well on your way to losing 30 pounds in 30 days!

If you are wanting to lose weight super fast, then there are a few things that you’ll need to have.  The first thing you will need is motivation.  The second thing that you will need is proper nutrition.  Lastly, you’ll need to do the right kinds of exercises.  I will give you more details about each topic.

The first thing you’ll need is motivation.  Let’s face it, not exercising is much easier than exercising, especially if you are needing to do it daily, or twice a day some days.  Plus, eating healthy isn’t as fun or convenient as eating unhealthy is, and so it will take some real effort to really buckle down and do what it takes to lose weight fast.  You’ll need to find that motivation from somewhere.  Whether you need to lose the weight for a job, for your family, or for health reason,s find a strong motivator and keep it in the forefront of your mind.

Next, proper nutrition is the key to any type of weight loss plan or program.  You need to eat properly (not starve yourself) but you can’t overindulge either.  Most people don’t have portion control, but if you count your calories diligently and if you keep your portions smaller than you normally would, then you’ll be able to begin losing weight.

Another key component is exercising.  Most people just want to do cardio on the treadmill or running outside and hoping they’ll lose weight.  They’ll soon realize that their weight loss comes to a halt.  Your body is a machine and it quickly adapt to stressors, and running is a stessor and so it adapts to that motion quickly.  It becomes a lot more efficient at running, and so it doesn’t need to burn as many calories each time that you go running.  This will bring your weight loss to a quick stop.  Instead, just incorporate some resistance training with weights or resistance bands, and you’ll be well in your way to losing weight super fast.

This is a guest post from the guys over at: Muscle Rumor Weight Loss.

Green tea weight loss products have become increasingly popular in the last few years as people are always looking for new and natural ways to lose weight.  Green tea can be purchased in the form of tea bags, loose tea or in pill or tablet form.

Green tea contains caffeine as well as catechin polyphenols.  These active ingredients can help to boost one’s metabolism, help regulate blood sugar levels, and help to reduce or suppress one’s appetite.  In addition, green tea is very low in calories.  All of these benefits associated with green tea can help with losing weight.

There have been studies done which have shown that drinking several cups of green tea per day can help to burn as many as 70-80 calories per day.  It has also been shown to help boost your metabolism.  A higher metabolism helps to burn more calories more efficiently, which is a significant factor in losing weight, and just one of the many green tea benefits.

The polyphenols present in green tea can also help to regulate your blood sugar level by helping to reduce insulin spikes and preventing your body from storing fat.

Drinking green tea can also act as an appetite suppressant by making you feel full.  This can help to reduce food cravings or help to prevent binge eating or over eating either through snacking or during meals.

Another way that drinking green tea can help with weight loss is that is can be used as a substitute for other higher calorie beverages such as coffee that has added sweeteners and creamers with it.  Green tea also does contain caffeine but in lower levels than coffee does.

Drinking green tea is not completely sufficient if you want to lose any significant amount of weight.  However the benefits as a metabolism booster, calorie burner, blood sugar regulator, appetite suppressant and low calorie beverage alternative can all help to contribute to losing weight.

There are a lot of things that are important when trying to lose weight. I think that the most important thing is to keep it simple. That’s why I think keeping a few simple tips is important.

Tip #1: Exercise

No amount of eating right is rewarded with weight loss without all the huffing and puffing. A 30 minute cardio exercise for about four times a week would do you good. You have to incorporate a resistance exercise program for 20 minutes for you to combat the pain you will feel. Strengthening your muscles for the first few weeks is very important.

Tip #2: Awareness

Eating anything in sight is not the way to go but being able to distinguish the good and healthy food from the empty calories is essential in weight loss like selecting a good weight loss program. Aside from this, knowing the proper repetitions for your exercise is also important since if you exercise too much, you will easily get hungrier than you thought and end up binging on the wrong food since you are so hungry that you could eat a horse.

Tip #3: Diet

Knowing what food groups to focus on is advisable if you want to keep on burning calories even while you eat. I like diet programs including the intuitive weight loss system. Skipping meals to compensate for the calories is not a way to go since you will not burn anything when you do that. Your body will all the more store the fat for you to conserve heat and not pass out due to starvation. A weight loss supplement could help you gradually lose weight since it allows you to not grow hungry in between meals as well as aid in strengthening your muscles but keep in mind that you are to solely dependent on this.

If you can do these three things then you are 90% on your way to losing weight.

Well, back in February I issued myself the challenge to lose 42 pounds in 21 weeks, but I have fallen far short of the goal. In reality, I’ve lost about 20 pounds, which is respectable considering my occasional (okay, frequent) lapses in motivation. If not for the guidance and encouragement of Paul (that awesome guru of personal training in Cleveland), I’d probably have lost nothing. So at this rate I’m losing less than a pound per week, but at least I’m losing. Progress is being made. Blubber is retreating.  Perhaps I have stumbled onto a universal weight loss (and life) truth. Huge sacrifices need not be made, only small and frequent sacrifices combined with the passage of time. You don’t have to give up chocolate or mayonnaise or tortillas, you simply need to spend time with them less often, and you need to be in it for the long haul. That’s it! Just make some small adjustments, give it a year, and you could be amazed by how much weight you’ve lost. I have 20 pounds more to lose to reach my goal, but I now know that I can reach it without taking drastic measures. Patience.

Okay, so I pretty much suck at this weight loss thing.  At this rate I’ll be slim again just in time for my teeth to drop from my gums and liver spots to set up shop all over my shiny, bald head.  In all seriousness, I guess some weight loss is better than no weight loss, and I suppose I should be thankful that at least I’m making some semblance of progress.  I owe it not to a better diet, not to running, not even to a better mental outlook (because I have yet to incorporate any one of these things into my life).  Alas, I owe it simply and entirely to the fact that the earth’s orbit around the sun has once again placed it in a position whereas North America receives a greater amount of direct sunlight thereby allowing a warming of the air and a renewal of all plant and animal life.  In other (less pretentious) words, Spring is here (and is already damn well over), and the warmer weather has allowed me much more time to get outside and actually utilize my muscles.  Just getting out and working in the yard a few times a week is doing wonders.  I’m also trying to glean more wisdom from my friend up north who is a beacon of hope to millions on the Cleveland personal training scene.  He is the fitness Jedi Master and I am doing my best to learn from him.  Will I still lose 50 pounds by late summer?  Common sense would say no.  But with the force all things are possible. I really just need to adjust my attitude and find a way to be more disciplined, both with my diet and my exercise routines.

Okay, so it’s been over three weeks since I issued myself the challenge of losing 42 pounds in 21 weeks,  and I’ve lost a grand total of zero pounds.  I’ve been drinking two slimfast shakes a day, as planned, but what the purveyors of this product didn’t count on is that between shakes, before shakes, after shakes, and during shakes I’d also be consuming chips and dip, sandwiches with extra mayo, pop, brownies, girl scout cookies (I swear those peanut butter ones have crack in them), and other building blocks of a well-balanced diet.

Couple this with the fact that only two days ago I started walking on the treadmill, and the lack of results that I’ve achieved should not be astonishing.  So now the pressure’s on because I’m not moving back my goal of dropping 42 pounds by July 13.  Honestly, though, this is pretty typical behavior for me.  I’ve always had a tendency to put things off until the last minute, which makes the early stages quite fun and laid back but makes the latter stages a scrambling, nerve-racking, self-berating, and exhausting (though occasionally thrilling) sprint to the finish.  Yet another aspect of my personality that needs some work.  Maybe this will finally teach me the lesson, because now I have to lose 42 pounds in less than 18 weeks. At this point I’ve already gotten plenty of weight loss tips. Now I really just need to do the work and put in the time.

I’ll continue to drink two shakes a day, but they just aren’t enough to keep away the hunger pangs during the day, so I’m going to make a bigger effort to work some fresh fruit and vegetables into the mix whenever I need a snack.  The salt and sugar is killing me.  That, combined with walking 30 minutes a day on the treadmill will hopefully yield better results.
