What Is Sabotaging Your Weight Loss?

Do you feel like you should be losing weight and you aren't? Like the endless minutes at the gym aren't adding up? Take the time to evaluate your current situation and see if any of these factors might be the reason why your scale is stuck.

1. Your significant other. While in the dating stages of a relationship we are often looking to impress each other. There is more concern about the way we look, and more effort put into keeping yourself looking your best. The more comfortable we get with our relationships the less concerned we tend to get. Have you become comfortable? Find ways that you can involve yourself in physical activity with your spouse.

2. Your children. With kids often comes an overabundance of snack foods in the house, which definitely doesn't add up to a fat burning diet. Beyond that kids take a lot of time and effort. They can make you tired. They can also make a great excuse to avoid the gym and say, "oh well," to attempting a healthy diet. Make your kids part of your healthy regimen. A healthy family is a happy family.

3. Your friends. The friends that you associate with can either help or hurt your healthy routine. It's amazing the effect that your friends can have on you in either a negative or positive way. If they are involved in athletics, like to eat healthy, and stay away from junk, it's more likely that you'll do the same. If they eat out every meal, only want to play video games, and haven't been to the gym in months, your chances of falling into their routine is a lot higher.

4. Your work. Although jobs are obviously necessary they can be sabotage to your diet and healthy lifestyle if you aren't careful. Those who work all day are more prone to skip breakfast, eat out for lunch, skip the gym, and engage in eating office treats. This doesn't have to be the case if effort is made to incorporate healthy habits into your life. It does take just that effort.

5. Your stress. There are a lot of situations which can cause you to have stress in your life. Though some are unavoidable, trying to manage your stress will help you to regulate your weight better. When you are overly stressed your body releases excess amounts of cortisol which can cause your body to store fat.

Learning More About ECA Stack

There are already many reviews and studies that have been made regarding ECA Stack. Some would confirm to the efficacy of this drug compilation while some would discourage its use because of the side effects that it has. However, what really is this drug combination all about?

If you are a person who wants to lose weight and boost your energy for your everyday need, ECA Stack is the ideal supplement for you. This is a potent stimulant for the central nervous system. ECA stands for each component that is combined for this drug medication: ephedrine, caffeine, and aspirin. Each drug works synergistically with one another. Without the other component, the full effect of the stack would be insufficient and unfavorable.

Ephedrine is the main component in this combination. It is known to be an energy boost as it works with the brain to produce nonadrenaline which is necessary for energy enhancement. At the same time, this component is also helpful in burning fats in the body due to thermogenesis (or creation of heat). This can also be an appetite suppressant which is very effective in achieving the desired loss in weight. In addition, the caffeine and aspirin components of the stack are helpful in serving the full efficacy of ephedrine. Caffeine is a helpful component in boosting the fat burning component of ephedrine. Aspirin, on the other hand, is helpful in decreasing the body’s resistance to stimulants so that ephedrine, which is a central nervous system stimulant, can become more effective. All these components work synergistically to provide the effect that one wants.

With a ratio of 1:10:10 or 1:10:15 of ephedrine, caffeine, and aspirin in one intake, the desired results can be achieved. This drug combination can be taken twice or thrice a day depending on the person taking it. It is just important to note that one should avoid taking the medicine during late afternoon to avoid insomnia which is one its side effects. Also, there are other side effects that this drug combination has. It is important to know about these so that proper decision-making can be done before taking it.

Whether we be cautious about the side effects and other harmful effects of this stack or get pass through it, we should need to take the necessary precautionary measures to ensure that taking this drug combination can be safe and effective for us. After all, no one else would know better what will be good and harmful for us other than ourselves.

Insanity vs p90x? Which is better?

If you have long been an exercise fanatic, then you must have heard all about the insanity vs p90x. These two exercises have become famous for their intense work out routines that has made people lose pounds in such a short time. One would be curious to find out more about these two routines, and see which one is better. Read on below, and find out more about these work outs; one or the other might be appropriate for your fitness needs.

Insanity is a work-out routine designed to be accomplished within 60 days. It is broken into two levels, called phases, with the initial as the lesser intense and the next is called the “max” phase. During the lighter level, one can perform simpler work outs which will require some cardio and muscle boost. However, upon reaching the max phase, workouts will become even more powerful. One will concentrate on his core cardio and balance for about 6 days, which is called the Recovery Week. The routines included cardio, calisthenics, plyometrics and other sports drills. The whole Insanity routine includes 10 workouts and ranges from 45 minutes to an hour and fifteen minutes. One good thing about this is that no equipment is needed as one will be using their own body with throughout the whole routine.

Insanity however, requires greater physical preparation. This starts in a great intense pace, and even warm ups are very strict; hence its name insanity. Be careful, for you have to keep up throughout the whole exercise to have better results. Ensure that your muscles and joints are already flexible, for you will experience constant pounding within the whole process.

The p90x on the other hand, is a three month program. It is longer than the insanity work out, and is divided into three phases. At every phase, one can experience ea cool down period where one’s body can recuperate from the intense exercises experienced from the phase. This is to prevent the muscle confusion so that one can feel after each change of phase. Then p90x work out has many routines included, from resistance exercises to cardio as well as yoga. It is a complete set of routine that can be acquired for a longer time; a total body workout which will greatly benefit for those who are patient enough to lose weight at a gradual time.

Which is better between the two routines? Only one can decide—you. If you are in need of a faster, powerful workout that will help you to lose pounds in a little time, go for the intense workout. If you want to have a more dynamic, complete set of exercises for a longer time without the intensive strain, then choose p90x. Both workouts are effective to those who follow its whole routine obediently. Just make sure that your body is ready to undergo either of these routines.

Finding Your Hidden 6 Pack Abs

A great abdominal section or "abs" is something everybody wants to have but few are willing to really work for.  The reason they're so highly coveted is because they're so hard to get.  If you could just spray on 6 pack abs, nobody would be impressed with them.  To really get the dream abs most want, it takes sticking to some very strict weight loss tips and making sure you're reaching all of your fitness goals.

Here's what happens to most people who want those amazing abs.  They see some machine on late night TV promising 6 pack abs with just 5 minutes of workout each day.  That sounds like a good deal and who can't fit 5 minutes a day into their schedule.  The people using these machines look great and it seems like they're all having fun with not much effort.  When the contraption comes in the mail, you pull it out, put it together and do even more than 5 minutes on it, pat yourself on your back and head back to the couch to catch the second half of the game.  The next day you do your 5 minutes and you're convinced those abs are going to be bulging out in no time at all.

I think you know the rest of this story.  Within a couple of weeks, no 6 pack abs and the amazing miracle machine goes back into the closet to die a slow and boring death.  What you don't see on these commercials is the fine print that says "along with a sensible nutritional program."  You could get the worlds strongest abdominal muscles but never see them because they're covered in a layer of fat and you're not going to burn that fat away with 5 minutes of crunches each morning.

If you really want abs you can be proud of, you need to put yourself on a strict program that includes all the crunches, leg raises and obliques you do, but also a good amount of cardiovascular exercise to boost your caloric burn each day.  In addition to this, you need to reduce the amount of food you're eating.  When you've done all this and mixed in a fair amount of time, you'll finally start to see those abs poking through.  It's not a quick process and it's not as easy as the models on TV make it look.

The good news is, that cool contraption you bought off of the TV can still be used.  Most of them are not bad, but they have to be used right and in conjunction with the rest of your fitness plan.

10 Fast Weight Loss Tips For Men

The majority of men between the ages of 20-50, according to recent research, are either overweight or obese. Despite this worrying situation most of the weight loss tips available are more applicable to women. Weight loss advice for men is mainly on how to build more muscles or how to get fit and not on how to lose weight.

Not all men want to build muscles but there are regular guys that need advice on how to get rid of the extra pounds in a fast and healthy way. So, if you are in this category of people you can make good use of the tips below.

1. There is a maximum amount of weight you can lose in a week and this is no more than 2 pounds. Having this in mind you should take your efforts slowly and not rush into unhealthy situations.

2. Do not minimize your daily calorie consumption below 1500 calories per day. This is the absolute minimum for the average man. If your body type is above the average then you may need to increase this number to 2000 calories per day.

3. Losing weight is a simple mathematical equation. One pound is 3500 calories so to lose 1 pound you need to save 3500 calories. The saving is the difference between the number of calories you consume - number of calories you burn.

4. You need to be aware that losing calories may not change your appearance but losing fat will.

5. The only way to burn more calories is to exercise regularly and intensively and the only way to reduce your daily calorie intake is to follow a balanced diet.

6. How fast you will be able to lose weight depends on how quickly you will achieve the calorie deficit explained in point 3 above. This is different for each person and depends on the metabolism.

7. There are 2 ways to increase your metabolism. The first way is through regular exercise and the second is by eating small meals every 3-4 hours.

8. There are many forms of exercises that can help you lose weight. This includes cardio exercises and body building. Body building is not only for building muscles but can also help you fight fat and shed pounds.

9. Men can usually lose weight faster than women because of the differences in their body structure. This does not mean though that all men can lose weight the same way. There are cases where people eat the same things and exercise the same but have different weight loss results. This is because there are many factors that affect weight loss. For best results you should visit a nutritionist to build up a diet that suits your needs and a professional trainer that can help you create an exercise schedule suitable for your body type.

10. Unfortunately weight loss takes time. Pills and other products cannot give you long lasting results and it is recommended not to use them.

The 10 fast weight loss tips presented in this post is the framework of a quick and safe weight loss. Around this framework there are many other things you can do to lose weight. Before you start your efforts do your research and have always in your mind that in order to lose weight and keep it off you need to do it the healthy way. If you follow other paths the results will only be temporary.

All About Physical Fitness

Physical fitness is required to remain healthy and live a long life. What does physical fitness mean to you? Does it mean doing lot of exercises or joining a weight loss program? Physical fitness is more than just exercising or losing weight. Fitness of the body is like a strong foundation of a building. It helps you live a long, healthy and successful life.

You can measure physical fitness by conducting periodic tests on the body. Some of these tests include testing the strength, agility and flexibility of the body. A physically fit body will have the optimum blood pumping rate, breathing rate and flexibility of muscles. If you are not into too many sports, a general fitness will suffice. General fitness of the body means that your body is healthy and well. For people who are involved in sports check for specific fitness of the body, which is required to help perform specific aspects of the particular sports.

Exercise contributes to maintaining a physically fit body. You can choose different types of exercises that will match your lifestyle, age and diet. Exercising will also ensure that you are not fatigued easily while doing the daily chores. Some forms of exercises also help in maintaining emotional and mental fitness. Too much of exercising will not help and it is important to draw out a regimen of optimum exercising.

It is also vital to have a good diet to maintain physical fitness. Drugs, smoking and alcohol can adversely affect the physical fitness of the body. One should stay away from such habits to remain fit throughout life. Proper diet, which includes all nutrients required, will help in maintaining the fitness levels. Large intake of fats and cholesterol rich food should be avoided and replaced with fresh fruits and vegetables.

Fitness is not achieved overnight and doesn't mean you'll look like a bodybuilding star. It is a long process and one should be determined to maintain a lifestyle that contributes to maintaining good physical fitness. Remaining physically fit will help in stress management, too.

3 Tips to Effectively Lose Weight

There are a lot of things that are important when trying to lose weight. I think that the most important thing is to keep it simple. That's why I think keeping a few simple tips is important.

Tip #1: Exercise

No amount of eating right is rewarded with weight loss without all the huffing and puffing. A 30 minute cardio exercise for about four times a week would do you good. You have to incorporate a resistance exercise program for 20 minutes for you to combat the pain you will feel. Strengthening your muscles for the first few weeks is very important.

Tip #2: Awareness

Eating anything in sight is not the way to go but being able to distinguish the good and healthy food from the empty calories is essential in weight loss like selecting a good weight loss program. Aside from this, knowing the proper repetitions for your exercise is also important since if you exercise too much, you will easily get hungrier than you thought and end up binging on the wrong food since you are so hungry that you could eat a horse.

Tip #3: Diet

Knowing what food groups to focus on is advisable if you want to keep on burning calories even while you eat. I like diet programs including the intuitive weight loss system. Skipping meals to compensate for the calories is not a way to go since you will not burn anything when you do that. Your body will all the more store the fat for you to conserve heat and not pass out due to starvation. A weight loss supplement could help you gradually lose weight since it allows you to not grow hungry in between meals as well as aid in strengthening your muscles but keep in mind that you are to solely dependent on this.

If you can do these three things then you are 90% on your way to losing weight.

My Goal is to Lose 42 Pounds in 21 Weeks

Creative Commons License photo credit: eye of einstein

I thought I'd kick this blog off by issuing a challenge to myself, specifically that I'd like to lose 42 pounds during the next 21 weeks. A friend of mine up in Cleveland is a personal trainer and advises that I not try to lose weight at a greater clip than two pounds per week.  You might wonder why I don't shoot for a more even number like trying to lose 30 pounds, but that just isn't enough and doesn't get me where I want to be.

Currently I'm 6'1" and weigh 232 pounds, and my target weight is 190, which I'd like to hit by July 13 or sooner. My current resting heart rate is 82 BPM and I'd like to get that down as well by knocking the rust off my legs and actually doing some exercise for a change. My blood pressure currently registers at 127/80, which is higher than it should be (120/80 or lower is normal), so that's another concern.

I probably haven't had a jog in a few years, which is rather pathetic now that I think about it, and I'm not quite sure how my body will react. First I'll start off with some walking and then gradually work my way up to running.

As far as my diet goes, well it's pretty much a nightmare of sugar and fat. I eat a lot of fast food (whoppers are my favorite) and I rarely, if ever, eat things like raw vegetables and fruit. With my daily caloric intake its a wonder I'm not even bigger. I'll be using slim fast shakes (one in the morning and one for lunch) in addition to a "reasonable" dinner every evening to begin the process, with the idea that at some point I can scale back to one shake a day as my exercise routine becomes more intense.

Why am I doing this? Put simply, I just don't feel very good most of the time. I feel sluggish, tired, and cranky more than I used to, and it seems to me that my thinking is not as clear as it once was, either, which I suspect has been compromised by my sedentary lifestyle. In addition, my knees have started to ache a little bit these last few weeks, and I've just decided that enough is enough. 232 pounds may not sound like a lot to some people, but for a guy like me that was very slim most of his life (I was 150 pounds soaking wet in my senior year of high school), that's quite a lot of excess "baggage". I think that getting down around 190 is a good, healthy weight for me, and at that point I'll probably try to mix some strength training in to tone up a bit more.

I'll keep everyone posted as I progress.
