Unique Costumes And Masquerade Masks For Halloween

Halloween is a great time of the year for all of the family.  Everybody loves to dress up in unique Halloween costumes and scare each other half to death while having a good laugh about it all.

There are hundreds of different types of masks which you could wear during the Halloween period ranging from traditional Venetian masquerade masks to the stereotypical Skeleton and Vampire masks that are usually associated with this day.

My own favorites however have to be movie horror masks, there is a wide enough variety that it will be unusual for you to choose something that another is wearing but they are also widely known character masks that people automatically associate with fear This gives you a head start in your terror campaign! :-D

If you are more inclined to go for fancy dress costumes in this style also then here are a few movie horror mask ideas that will spark your imaginative juices for sure.

Jason from Friday the thirteenth has to be one of the most imposing characters to ever cross our screens, this is a fairly simple option which requires the hockey mask of course along with a boilersuit. It's simplicity will not make it any less frightening however.

Everybody remembers the Terminator movies, the relentless cyborg embodied by Arnie. There are Terminator masks out there that are so realistic looking that it's.. well, scary. Definitely an option to think about.

Scream was another classic film featuring a psychopath in a unique costume and mask. The mask which may well have been inspired by the painting 'The scream', is another great option for Halloween although I have noticed this type has become a lot more popular over recent years. Wearing this will likely result in a duplicate costume at the event, if this is not a worry for you however it is another good consideration.
